Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare. Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. I guess if I can't get the cyclical chanting out of my head, it at least must mean I'm putting the time in. Alachua County is home to the largest population of Krishnas outside of India, numbering over 1,000 (world population is estimated to be only about 1 million). Because of the religion's young 40-year existence, this is the first generation of children being brought up by parents who were also raised Krishna. These are from my first week of shooting...struggling to narrow my focus.
